Dr. Sarah Lechanski

"I treat every patient as I would my own family members. I like to understand the patient’s needs and lifestyle and apply that to their individual treatment plan. I sincerely care for my patients, and offer them high quality, efficient eye care. I feel that my practice experiences provide me with a very well rounded approach to patient care.”
Dr. Sarah Lechanski earned her doctorate from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2008. She also completed a second Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences during this time. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Niagara University, where she graduated cum laude. She is a board-certified optometrist and member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Lechanski specializes in total family eye care, including evaluation for glasses, contact lenses and diabetic eye care. Prior to joining Dr. Wong and Associates, Dr. Lechanski was an FDA clinical sub investigator for the treatment of presbyopia. She has also provided pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract patients. Dr. Lechanski has extensive experience in contact lens fittings, including, but not limited to astigmatism, bifocal and multifocal contact lenses. Dr. Lechanski has volunteered her time and expertise to provide eye care in Guatemala and continues to look for ways to serve the eye care needs of the community.
Although she grew up in Buffalo, and has lived in Tampa and Chicago, Dr. Lechanski and her family have made Connecticut their home. She enjoys cooking, but she leaves most meals up to her husband and focuses on baking because of her big sweet tooth.
